Club, Trips and Visits
Extra-curricular clubs
We think we have the biggest, brightest and best extra-curricular club offer in the county. Thanks to our talented team we are pleased to be able to offer a vast and ever-growing range of high-quality club and extra-curricular opportunities across many areas.
From our extensive sports, arts and music offer, to chess, crochet, debate, languages, maths, robotics, science and more, we’re confident that every student at Bournside can find a Club they enjoy. New clubs include Boxercise, Foreign Languages Film Club, Climate Club and our Community Gardening Club, run in partnership with the Friends of Hatherley Park.

Music, Dance and Drama
Music, dance and drama is an important part of school life at Bournside and there are so many ways to get involved. From instrumental tuition to music clubs, concerts, and performing at local events and festivals to our drama opportunities through the Bournside Theatre Ensemble, including the Coram Schools Shakespeare Festival, National Theatre Connections and our sell out annual school productions.

Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh is a transformative opportunity for students, giving them a chance to explore new talents and develop critical skills that they will benefit from throughout their lives. We offer the Award at all levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold. Find out more here. You'll find past participants #DofEDiaries here too.
Activities Week
Each July we hold an off-timetable school-wide activities week for students in Years 7-10 and in Year 12.
Students are invited to take part in a wide range of trips, visits and activities. From Year 9 Camp, to theme parks, Geography field trips, and water sports, to English and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) activities and work experience placements, Activities Week provides a wealth of enriching opportunities for students outside of the classroom.
