Welcome to our school. Every day here is driven by a clear and ambitious purpose: to inspire lives through learning and to ensure every young person thrives academically, personally and socially. Our students are encouraged not simply to succeed, but to shine; to discover their talents, broaden their horizons and develop the character and confidence to shape their futures.

We are a school with both scale and soul. Our specialist facilities and extensive grounds allow students to access a rich and diverse curriculum. At the same time, our well-established House system ensures that every young person belongs to a close-knit community of around 300 peers. This combination enables us to offer exceptional opportunities within an environment where each individual is genuinely known, valued and supported.

Our historic motto, usque ad finem, meaning “until the end”, captures the mindset that defines us. It reflects perseverance, ambition and a commitment to excellence. For our students, it means having the courage to aim high. For our staff, it is a promise: that we will walk alongside every learner, challenging, guiding and championing them at each stage of their journey.

We were pleased that Ofsted recognised this commitment. They noted that we “put the welfare of pupils, as well as academic achievement, at the heart of everything we do”, that “pupils enjoy school”, and that there is a “strong sense of community for both staff and pupils”. These strengths reflect the culture that has shaped our school for decades.
