SEND
Bournside is an inclusive school where every student is valued, respected, and treated equally, whatever their ability, needs, or behaviour. We provide all students with a broad and engaging curriculum and a wide range of learning opportunities.
All teachers support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by adapting learning to suit individual needs. Sometimes, students with SEND may need extra help to reach their full potential, and we are committed to providing this. We follow the SEND Code of Practice (DfE, 2015) and make sure all students are safe, healthy, and able to enjoy school life.
Students with SEND receive support both in and out of the classroom, depending on what they need. They benefit from the care and guidance of our SEND Support Team, whose work is vital in helping our most vulnerable students succeed in school and beyond.
Our SENDCo is Mr Rob Mudge.
