Welcome! In the sections below you will find all the information you need to get started with our parent apps and school systems - including where and how to access them/your account, frequently asked questions/troubleshooting and relevant guides.

MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) is our parent portal app, which allows parents and guardians to report absences, credit their child’s dining centre account and make online payments for school trips, tickets and items.

You will be emailed a link to register and activate your MCAS account. This will happen on your child's first day of school.

FAQs

I already have an account for one child. How can I add another?

MCAS will automatically link your children to the same account, provided you have given us matching parental details when enrolling. If your account appears to be missing any children, please contact IT Services.

I already have an account for another school. Do I need a separate Bournside account?

No. As long as you have given us the same information that the other school holds for you, MCAS will link the two 'profiles' together automatically. You will be prompted to select which profile to use when accessing the app.

ClassCharts is our additional parent portal app which provides you with information about your child’s achievements and behaviour incidents (including detention notifications), as well as their attendance statistics, school timetable, and homework tasks.

You will be emailed a unique access code and instructions on how to register and activate your ClassCharts account. This will happen on your child's first day of school. If you have more than one child starting, you will receive an email for each child - you only need to register one account. Please see the FAQs below on how to add an additional child.

I already have an account for one child. How can I add another?

Once you have received the unique access code from us, go into your account and tap the menu button in the top right corner. Select '+ Add pupil', and then enter the code and confirm the child's Date of Birth.

I can't login - it says "Please enter the access code supplied by your teacher"?

You have downloaded the student app. Please delete it and download the correct ClassCharts Parents app - it has a green border on the icon. The parent app will ask you for an e-mail address and password.

I already have an account for another school. Do I need a separate Bournside account?

No, they can all be linked to the same account.

SOCS is used to communicate details of our extra-curricular clubs and sporting fixtures.

You will be emailed a link to register and activate your SOCS account. This will happen on your child's first day of school.

SOCS is a web-only platform; there are no iOS or Android apps available.

Parents Evening System is our online platform used for our Parent Teacher Conferences/PTCs throughout the year. It allows you to book appointments which are then attended by way of video call.

FAQs

I can't login - it says "Unable to find a parent and/or student with those details"?

In most cases, this is due to a mismatch of names such as legal/preferred name and will need to match what you provided to us when enrolling. If for example your child is called Daniel you may have provided us with the preferred name of Dan. Likewise as a parent, if your name is Elizabeth you may have provided us with the abbreviation Liz.

If you have exhausted any sensible variations and still cannot login, please contact IT Services.
